The Center for Movement-Based Psychotherapy is fully committed to conducting all activities in strict conformance with the American Psychological Association’s Ethical Principles of Psychologists.
The Center for Movement-Based Psychotherapy will comply with all legal and ethical responsibilities to be non-discriminatory in promotional activities, program content, and the treatment of program participants. The monitoring and assessment of compliance with these standards will be the responsibility of the General Program Manager (Lauren Chiaravalloti, PsyD) in consultation with the members of the continuing education committee of the Center for Movement-Based Psychotherapy.
While the Center for Movement-Based Psychotherapy goes to great lengths to ensure fair treatment for all participants and attempts to anticipate problems, there will be occasional issues that require intervention and/or action on the part of the Center for Movement-Based Psychotherapy. This procedural description serves as a guideline for handling such grievances.
Formal grievances, complaints, or feedback are to be submitted electronically via written format to the following committee members via email:

1) If the complaint/grievance concerns a Homestudy program, the content presented within the program, the speaker, or the style of presentation, the General Program Manager will take steps to de-identify the information, assure confidentiality of the grieved individual, and pass comments/feedback on to the Program Administrator for consideration.
1a. If the complaint/grievance concerns a program offering, its content, level of presentation, or the facilities in which the workshop was offered, the convention chair will mediate and will be the final arbitrator.
2) If the grievance concerns technical issues (e.g., unable to log into the website, unable to access test material, problems with user experience or user interface), the Education Chair will take steps to de-identify the information, assure confidentiality of the grieved individual and pass comments/feedback on to the Program Administrator.
3) If the grievance concerns the Center for Movement-Based Psychotherapy CE program, in a specific regard, the CE Chair will attempt to arbitrate.
If unable to arbitrate successfully or if problems cannot be amended, participants may be entitled to a full refund of the cost of any purchased continuous education material hosted by the Center for Movement-Based Psychotherapy.
Individuals who submit a complaint or grievance are entitled to a response, including any action taken in an effort to resolve issues therein.
